Jimmy`s Family Restaurant in Burlington

Great breakfast place I've been to many times over the years. Nice having a hard to find gem when you know it's there. A bit tricky if you've never been there. Food is great, reasonably priced, and delivered quickly. Always hits the spot. I'd recommend Jimmy's for anyone looking for a great, non-fancy breakfast.

They have excellent food and service. Their prices are competitive but not discounted. The only issue I have had there over many visits is when I asked for salsa with my meal. It clearly states on the menu that an additional ingredient in an omelette is $.95. I think that salsa should be considered a condiment but can understand a small charge as it does cost more than condiments such as ketchup or mustard. However the owner charged me $3.50 even though the waitress herself, agreed with my complaint. The owner tried to tell me that salsa is a sauce (like a cheese sauce) and a sauce is $3.50. I stopped going there as often as I used to and have been going to a competitor, close by because I was so annoyed. I always leave at least a 20 percent tip so I could not understand the debate over the difference - $2.55. I paid the difference but the owner lost a lot more money than if she had accommodated my request to reduce the charge of the salsa.

Very cozy little breakfast place. It was quite busy when I entered at 10:00am on Sunday, but I was able to get a stool at the counter without a wait. I had the Portuguese omelette with home fries and raisin toast. Everything was delicious. A few things of note: this is cash only (but there is an ATM on-site), and they have Franks Red Hot for hot sauce (which I think is the best breakfast hot sauce).I went on a Saturday for my second visit and it was much less busy (around 9:30am). I had the Portuguese eggs Benedict and it was super tasty! The staff here is sooo nice, and I really enjoyed my time. Totally recommended!

Good food and it came out quick. The staff was friendly. The menu had decent options.Seats are a bit tight, and the bathroom is not kid friendly. There is no room for a stroller or infant carrier, we had to stick him partially on the table. It's also cash only and the ATM is a generic one so there are fees.

I visit this outstanding place often as I like the good air that is part of this place. The crew is extremely friendly and well trained. The service is certainly rapid. Needless to say, the food they serve is highly distinguished. I came many times and I was always delighted. The pay is modest. I highly recommend this place to all my friends.

They don't serve lunch on weekends! Ordered oatmeal with strawberries and they were wilted/mushy and at least 3 slices had black holes from mold in them... gross. Explained to the waitress why we didn't want the oatmeal with the unappetizing strawberries and she explained that "not all the strawberries were moldy (EW?) and they were wilted because of the heat from the oatmeal" with a bitchy tone. Safe to say we're not in New Jersey anymore!

I love it here. Good old fashion home cooked meals. So delicious you dont want to share! Very family friendly. The only down side is that it is small. Look to go during non-busy time.

We had breakfast - pancakes, breakfast sandwich, toast, and potatoes. The breakfast sandwich was fair, the kids loved their pancakes, the potatoes were dull and flavorless. I'm told that coffee was good, too.The staff was friendly and efficient, and we didn't have to wait long to be served. The prices were fairly average.I would rate higher had the price-to-flavor ratio been better. I think the owners are new and eager, and I expect that they'll improve as they get the hang of things.

The seating was extremely limited & the 2 person tables are not great at all due to how tight it is between the table & the main walkway but the food was very homey & good. Seems like a regular busy local spot so getting there early is better.

We met with friends at this place for lunch. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was great. We loved this spot a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Recommended.

I don’t know how this place is so popular. I had the eggs Benedict, and it was inedible. Wasn’t served with a hollandaise sauce like it’s supposed to be; there was some unidentifiable cheese sauce. I literally couldn’t eat it. I told them so, but they charged me for it anyway. Pancakes were hard. The only good thing was that they served the pancakes with fresh strawberries. I hadn’t been there in 10 years. Now I remember why I stop going. Waitresses were nice.

The food was good and reasonably priced. I very much had the sense that I'd found the locals' favorite breakfast hangout. One interesting feature of the place is that it has little "servers' lanes" between the tables that were inaccessible to the guests and gave the servers easy access to all the tables. I'd never seen such a floorplan, and it was kind of neat.

Fantastic place for breakfast! Local hole-in-the-wall with good eats. Decor is dated and cheesy, but it adds to the ambiance. Service was fast and friendly and the food was top notch. The home fries were excellent. Signage is sparse, so use your gps to find it. It was full of locals who know where the good breakfast is located. Highly recommend!

Really great place. Very nice and very casual. Small and reminds me of a diner that closed in my home town. Will be returning here in the future. It is cash only, and there is an ATM in the place.
